Winter Escape

This was going to be the worst Christmas ever. For the first time in years, Vicky would be spending the holiday entirely alone. No spouse and no parties at the in-laws. Not only were most of her friends his as well, but they would all be going to witness her ex getting remarried this holiday. Could Christmas get any worse?

Three whole weeks left to her own thoughts and an empty house. She had no clue what she would do with herself other than drown her sorrows in eggnog and cider. That was until her high school best friend, Evelyn, came up with a solution.

The ultimate Christmas present. A three week, all expenses paid holiday at Northern Light resort. It didn’t matter that Evelyn’s family owned it, because it was still the getaway she so desperately needed, and she was more than happy to share it with her best friend.

Offering the best of the best, the resort had everything anyone could ever hope for. Would Evelyn also be able to find the new beginning that she very much deserved?
