Watching Melody struggle through life without helping her has been the hardest challenge of Daniel’s eternal existence. As her guardian angel, he's not allowed to interfere with Melody's life, but all he desires is for her to be happy and find joy.
Her smile alone makes breaking the rules worth paying the price. However, there are limits to what he can risk without facing severe consequences. 
When Max stumbles into Melody's life, Daniel is forced to question if he truly just wishes Melody to be happy or if he wants to be one who makes her happy.
